The workers of the urban and suburban transport institutions in the capital, in Itoza, resumed their work on a regular basis on Tuesday after they entered a strike on Monday.
The Algeria Press Service affirmed that the university transport buses owned by the businessman, Tahkout Mohiddin, would continue to operate normally because they are required to continue to provide a public service, in accordance with the conditions signed between the two parties.
The strike was suspended after reaching an agreement with the ministry, which has committed to the implementation of the recent collective agreement, especially as the main requirement for workers is to raise wages.
The strike coincided with the suspension of the students’ buses belonging to the businessman, Tahkout Mohiddin, who was placed in provisional custody on suspicion of his involvement in several cases like benefiting of unjustified privileges.
