Egypt: Does the law of irregular employment end the injustice imposed on 18 million workers in the "bricks and quarries" sector?


The brick and quarry workers' union called on the House of Representatives to expedite the consideration and approval of the draft law on irregular employment.

The head of the union, “Mohamed Gharib”, said that the law is a step towards enshrining the rights of daily workers and seasonal workers who have sufferedfrom injustice for decades and it represents a moral boost for 18 million workers in Egypt, which will have a clear impact in the construction sector.
