📢 Call to Join the International Campaign to Stop Targeting Journalists in Gaza

Greetings of struggle and solidarity,

The Arab Trade Union Confederation (ATUC) follows with deep concern and condemnation the ongoing massacres committed against the Palestinian people, and the deliberate targeting of journalists and media professionals in Gaza who are sacrificing their lives to expose the truth and document war crimes. The killing of dozens of journalists is not an incidental event, but rather a systematic policy aimed at silencing free voices, erasing facts, and concealing the evidence of crimes.

In line with our commitment to defend human rights and fundamental freedoms, and our unwavering support for Palestine and its just cause, the Arab Trade Union Confederation calls on all member unions, civil society organizations, human rights bodies, and free voices around the world to actively join the international campaign to stop the targeting of journalists in Gaza, and to work towards:
• Exposing and denouncing the crimes of the occupation at the Arab and international levels.
• Defending freedom of the press as a sacred human right.
• Supporting Palestinian journalists and citizen journalism, which represent the last line of defense for truth.

It is our collective responsibility to transform this campaign into a broad international front of pressure that restores the value of the free word and breaks the wall of silence and censorship.
