Urgent | Strike by Alexandria Water Company Workers Over Unpaid Bonuses
Dozens of workers at the Alexandria Drinking Water Company launched an open-ended strike today, in protest against the delay in payment of their financial entitlements and scheduled annual bonuses, which has disrupted operations across several departments within the company.
According to union sources, the strike comes after the company’s management ignored repeated demands from the workers to disburse overdue bonuses that have been delayed for several months, despite previous promises to resolve the issue.
The workers stressed that the strike will continue until their legitimate demands are met, particularly the payment of bonuses and improvement of their financial conditions.
