Lebanon: Trade unions call for salaries to be paid in dollars

The union has made other demands concerning bonuses, allowances and tax exemptions, all of which are aimed at raising the salaries of workers in the sector and improving their purchasing power in light of the country’s deteriorating economic situation and the collapse of the Lebanese pound. The organisation has threatened to resort to strikes if these demands are not met.
